Kustom integrates Ingrid directly into the checkout for smarter shipping choices
The checkout solution Kustom is entering a strategic partnership with the delivery platform Ingrid, which is now being integrated directly into Kustom’s shipping selector. By connecting delivery data and checkout data, merchants gain better opportunities to test, customize and optimize shipping options in real time. This creates stronger conditions for higher conversion, increased delivery revenue and fewer returns. Adlibris is one of the first merchants to go live with the new solution.
The integration represents a strategic improvement for merchants using Ingrid. Previously, Ingrid’s platform was managed as a separate integration outside the checkout. Ingrid’s delivery intelligence is now integrated directly into Kustom’s shipping selector, creating a more cohesive purchase flow, improving the user experience and reducing technical complexity for the merchant.
Shipping options are a critical part of the shopper journey and a common reason for abandoned purchases. Through the new integration, merchants can reduce friction in the checkout while acting on delivery data in real time. This strengthens both the shopping experience and merchant profitability.
The expanded partnership means that data from Ingrid and Kustom can be synchronized, giving merchants better opportunities to understand how shipping choices, delivery options and costs affect the purchase journey, and to work more strategically with delivery to drive conversion, increase margins and reduce unnecessary returns.
“Ingrid and Kustom are both market leaders in their respective segments. When we connect the experiences, we strengthen the value for merchants. This is about more than creating a simpler flow. It is about being able to act on data that drives conversion and reduces returns. One plus one becomes three for our shared merchants,” says Rasmus Fahlander, Chief Product Officer at Kustom.
Merchants will continue to have separate agreements with Kustom and Ingrid. The pricing of Kustom’s service is not affected, but the total cost of operations and maintenance can decrease through a simpler technical structure.
“We are building Kustom so that merchants can focus on their business, not on connecting technology. That is why we bring market-leading functionality together in an open ecosystem through partnerships. The deeper integration with Ingrid is a natural step in reducing complexity and strengthening business value for our merchants,” says Kamjar Hajabdolahi, CEO of Kustom.
“Delivery has gone from an operative step to a crucial part of the buying journey. By integrating Ingrid’s delivery intelligence directly into Kustom’s checkout flow, merchants can for the first time test, optimize and act on delivery data where the purchase decision is actually made. This is not just about offering more shipping options, but about using data to present the right option for each customer, increasing conversion, improving margins and building trust throughout the entire purchase journey,” says Susanna Grill Erntell, CEO of Ingrid.
The partnership has been developed over the past six months. The integration is available to Kustom merchants as an optional feature across all markets where Ingrid operates. Adlibris will be one of the first merchants to implement the new setup.
Kustom founder Kamjar Hajabdolahi holds a minority stake in Ingrid through BLQ Invest, which is also the majority owner of Kustom.
