Koenigsegg is a world-renowned Swedish innovator known for hypercars built with extensive in-house engineering and a strong global brand presence. Alongside its vehicles, Koenigsegg has rapidly grown a global merchandise business, with demand especially high in the US, Europe, Sweden and Australia.
Selling at events is a very important part of revenue and has highlighted limitations in POS tools. To compete at this level and maintain brand standards, Koenigsegg needed a solution that worked fluidly online and offline.
Challenge
Disconnected sales systems and operational friction
Before working with Kustom, Koenigsegg’s checkout provider was outdated, costly and lacked the agility needed for a high-performance brand. Event sales used separate systems that didn’t tie back to inventory or e-commerce stocks, forcing teams to manage two parallel databases. This caused over-reserved stock, planning challenges and manual reconciliation after events. Not to mention taking up time and hurting visibility.
At large events, slow checkout processes and system disconnects made it hard to keep queues moving and inventory in sync.


Solution
Unifying online and in-person sales
Koenigsegg implemented Kustom Checkout during spring 2025 and later piloted Kustom MPOS at a merch store event. With the new setup they were able to:

- Sync event inventory with their ERP for complete traceability
- Add tills instantly during peaks and accept contactless card and digital wallet payments straight from their phone, with no extra hardware or setup needed
